tribute Picasso's muses

This is the Museum of Picasso in Málaga, Spain. The hometown of one of the greatest painters in XX century and overall.
Picasso's genius is undeniable. Yet, his art wouldn't be the same without the women in his life. He found inspiration in the eyes of his lovers and mistresses, his life-long muses. However, his narcissism and consumerist nature were devastating for the people closest to him.
The painting is of Françoise Gilot. She was his lover, assistant, student, mother of his two children, and a painter herself. Françoise was only 21 when she met Picasso, who was 61. After being together for 10 years, she was the only woman to walk away from him, unlike his other lovers.
I admire his art, creativity, boldness and bravery. And yet, I pay my tribute to all the women behind his name. Fernande Olivier, Olga Khokhlova, Marie-Thérèse Walter, Dora Maar, Françoise Gilot, Jacqueline Roque & more.
